• Basic technical information generated when you visit the Site, such as your IP address and browser information, which is handled by our hosting and security providers to deliver and protect the Site

• Receive, review, approve or decline booking requests
• Process and administer payments for confirmed bookings
• Communicate with you about your stay, including arrival information
• Respond to enquiries and provide guest support
• Administer cancellations, changes and refunds

Payments are processed using Stripe. Cozy Rentals does not store full payment card details. Information required to process and administer a payment, such as your name, email address and the booking amount, may be shared with Stripe so the payment authorisation, capture or refund can be completed.

Your personal information may be processed by trusted technology and service providers we use to:

• Operate and host the Site
• Manage booking requests and availability
• Process payments
• Send transactional emails
• Maintain website security and functionality

These providers may only handle your information for the purpose of providing those services to us, and are required to handle it in accordance with applicable privacy laws. We do not sell your personal information. We may also disclose information to government or regulatory bodies where required by law.

We use your contact details to send transactional communications, including:

• Confirmation that your booking request has been received
• Approval of your booking
• Notice that a booking request has been declined
• Notice that a booking request has expired
• Information relating to your stay, such as arrival details
• Replies to enquiries you send us

These messages are necessary to administer your booking and are not marketing communications.

Making a booking does not subscribe you to marketing. We will only send marketing or promotional communications where you have separately opted in, or where otherwise permitted by law, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

The Site does not currently use advertising cookies, third-party analytics or tracking technologies that profile visitors. Only essential technology needed to display the Site, keep it secure and operate the booking and payment process is used, including secure technology provided by Stripe during payment.

If we introduce analytics or other tracking in the future, this policy will be updated to describe it.

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access or disclosure, including secure payment processing through Stripe, access-controlled booking records and encrypted connections. However, no internet-based system can guarantee absolute security.

We retain booking and personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for:

• Providing accommodation services
• Booking administration
• Resolving disputes
• Meeting legal obligations
• Tax and accounting record keeping

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, or raise a privacy concern or complaint, by contacting us using the details below. We will respond to reasonable requests within a reasonable timeframe.

The Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental or guardian involvement in the booking process.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
